The 98th Grey Cup went down yesterday in Edmonton with the Montreal Alouettes and Anthony Calvillo, taking the cup over the Saskatchewan Rough Riders in the championship game. It was a sold out affair in chilly Edmonton, which saw approximately 400000 fans descending on the town to take part in revellry and other such affairs. It was a very nationalistic event where the army was involved, droves of fans from all over came and canadian rock legends BTO performed. The Grey Cup definetly lacks the corporate slick that the Super Bowl has with its big buisness intrests, but our hokey football league puts on a good show alltogether, highlighting the best that Canada has to offer for football done totally our style.
